I never got a chance to plan my escape It was just a sudden outburst Hands were joined and I was dragged along Oh, I didn’t mind the feeling! Had we known what we were up against Maybe reason could have stopped this But when power laughs in palace halls Boring logics get frustrating Oh, I saw it in your eyes A reflection of my fear I remembered why we came here How change had felt so near Oh, I saw it in your eyes All the things we never say All the love and desperation How disappointment followed rage I’ve read books about "offing the pigs" I’ve been followed by patrol cars I’ve seen the terror in the eyes of friends As the iron fist came crashing And dogs kept barking up the wrong trees As we waited for our roses Oh, how we hoped to see a burning bush In urban deserts with mirages Oh, I saw it in your eyes A reflection of my fear I remembered why we came here How change had felt so near Oh, I saw it in your eyes All the things we never say All the love and desperation How disappointment followed rage

My motivation is at an all time low Don't you white wash me, my skin’s too frail It's coming down in swarms today, I hear, I hurt It’s all over my ears now All the buzzwords and the laughter I hear, I hurt, I hear, I hurt, I heard you the first time It's coming down in swarms today I can't get up! I know you tried to map it out for me I still have problems understanding . . . It's coming down in swarms today, I hear, I hurt It’s all over my ears now All the buzzwords and the laughter I hear, I hurt, I hear, I hurt, I heard you the first time It's coming down in swarms today I can't get up!

Took the last train, I couldn’t take much more Any line of flight is better than what they had in mind Another parody, another news stand It’s what they’re selling and how everyone buys into it It’s a think tank, always that think tank Going down like vultures at any opportunity Is it a backlash? I say a backlash The castrated patriarch is taking back positions This girl has seen enough of it (All the lies) This girl has seen enough of it (Our fathers hide) Impotent lies projected on me (All the lies) This girl has This girl has Took the last train, I couldn’t take much more Our simple claims are apparently obscene So they intervene, yeah they intervene putting down a foot on a network of fires Like identity, always identity Stick us in a form so we can reproduce some norms And I’m fed up with it, we’re all fed up with it We’ll take the last train, we’ll take the last train This girl has seen enough of it (All the lies) This girl has seen enough of it (Our fathers hide) Impotent lies projected on me (All the lies) This girl has This girl has This girl has seen enough of it (All the lies) This girl has seen enough of it (Our fathers hide) Impotent lies projected on me (All the lies) This girl has This girl has This girl has This girl has had enough

5.15, dragged out of my dreams By people screaming outside my window There’s no way I’m going back to sleep now 12 o’clock, brought me to my senses Newsflash of body counts in the outskirts And I dare say that it’s all connected A life of constant failure They say we choose our own ways A life of constant failure They say we choose our own ways I don’t think I can recall Being asked if I wanted The boredom The pettiness The angst And the ridicule 6.15 and it’s been dark since three Seems like these days go on forever I can’t stand the monotony 8 o’clock, shut the blinds of the windows I’ve been told the workday never ends here It’s a social factory A life of constant failure They say we choose our own ways A life of constant failure They say we choose our own ways I don’t think I can recall Being asked if I wanted The boredom The pettiness The angst And the ridicule A life of constant failure They say we choose our own ways A life of constant failure They say we choose our own ways Of course there could be Other options available "while fleeing, grab a weapon" Grab a weapon And don’t look back

Hey hey, they're rounding up the useless scum I’m on the winning team, the winning team, the winning team Ha ha, couldn’t read or write that well So we let you know, we had to let you know Uh huh, that’s when I learned to shut my mouth Still on the winning team, always the winning team Oh yeah, it's gonna be a lovely spring The way they downsize and privatize everything Hey hey, they're measuring skulls again I'm on the winning team, the winning team, the winning team Oh my, scanned under fluorescent light It’s all to set you straight, all to set you straight Oh no, graded by deficit genes I’m on the winning team, always the winning team Oh yeah, it's gonna be a lovely spring The way they downsize and privatize everything Lightning strikes twice Hey hey, they're cutting off the hands of thieves I'm on the winning team, the winning team, the winning team Oh my, beady eyes in public space To look down on you, to look down on you Oh no, can’t reach the remote this way There’s always something on, always something on Oh yeah, it's gonna be a lovely spring The way they downsize and privatize everything Lightning strikes twice

So you’re a shipwreck What brought you to these shores? Was it stormy weather That tore your hull apart? There were arc lights searching To shine on your monstrosity They need your contrast Still cursing your narrow escape In the morning In the evening In the aftermath of our dining In the towers In the suburbs There’s always new plans for our dying It’s a modest proposal To end our hardships To share the joy and lightness Of multiplicities We’ve all been cornered Sent back on public demand To padded chambers For everyone to see In the morning In the evening In the aftermath of our dining In the rose fields In the subways There’s always new life in the making It’s a modest proposal To end our hardships To share the joy and lightness Of multiplicities

Overheard some conversation They're closing in on your tight knit circle And it's been blooming up like weeds Around his deconstructed monument Someone called me up the other day No one there but I could hear you breathing You miss your master’s voice And now the choir is transatlantic It's here and now I saw Winston Smith around the corner It's here and now Bernhard Marx was in the supermarket Heard it on the news today Rumours had made them tremble They tried to shake it off But it stuck with them some how It's here and now I saw Winston Smith around the corner It's here and now Bernhard Marx was in the supermarket

Here comes sunshine Always a moment late Here come rain clouds With tar filled lungs and watery eyes All the armchairs we’ve been leaning on All the slogans on your bedroom walls Your a martyr in statistics They’ve been digging your grave Since the day you were born Here comes sunshine Always a moment late Here come rain clouds With tar filled lungs and watery eyes Saw you sitting on the window pane Tied your sheets to your bed like a rope Like a final escape When all was gone, gone, gone, but a spark of hope There’s nothing I wouldn’t do I won’t say a word, your secret stays with me I’ll bite my tongue, close my eyes and wait Until they’ve gone away A bunch of flowers Most of them forget-me-nots Not very subtle But a welcome sign in a desperate time Oh, I’ve heard your monologues By now I know them all by heart "Life itself is hard enough I don’t want to be reminded in the arts" A bunch of flowers Most of them forget-me-nots Not very subtle But a welcome sign in a desperate time Tie an anchor to my chest So I won’t forget what matters most These means have no end And I will always be your friend There’s nothing I wouldn’t do I won’t say a word, your secret stays with me I’ll bite my tongue, close my eyes and wait Until they’ve gone away

In the gallows by the willows, the rationale was set What followed next was the time clock, and then the standard was met Now as we walk through the strip malls, pushing shopping carts It’s a logical extension to that gruesome start With pillows and night gowns, an army asleep Fists clenched in pockets, always dragging our feet The living flesh is dreaming of days to come Wide awake early morning, it won’t be long You won’t even notice You won’t feel the sting We know our thing from lurking in the shadows We’ll keep singing the same song on and on We’ll keep stealing, lying and cheating To see someone with all that wisdom Did you, did you really kiss him? I know you tremble, oh I know you shake your head in doubt I know you lie awake in fear of what your sleep might bring I know your dreams reveal a horror that you can not speak In the mirror it’s all crumbling I know you tremble, oh I know you shake your head in doubt I know you lie awake in fear of what your sleep might bring I know your dreams reveal a horror that you can not speak Your time is nigh You won’t even notice You won’t feel the sting We know our thing from lurking in the shadows We’ll keep singing the same song on and on We’ll keep stealing, lying and cheating To see someone with all that wisdom Did you, did you really kiss him? Dead but dreaming

See the walls reach higher See his tears come rolling down One by one they’re leaving Not aware the time has come I watch them move, slowly Not yet together But with the same will to make something better They’re forcing us to fight the ones That we love (That we love) Dragging our hopeless souls Along this endless road There's always given something better Better than dying Walking through the winter See a constant cloudy sky They share a frozen future Bearing hope of better times I watch them move slowly Marching together With the same will to make something better Breaking the walls they’ve built around us With their lives At stake A gleam of light Makes it all A thing worth fighting for There's always given something better Better than dying

about

This is our second album and it was released in December 2007 on our own label, Luftslott. It's some kind of indie rock with a touch of post-punk, barbed wire guitars, driving bass, whirlwind drums and social critique.
